Bembridge shoreline

Bembridge on the East side of the Island, is well known for its Sandy Harbour with its colourful array of Houseboats.

The Village has a long Maritime History which is told in the Village Maritime Centre. Further along the shore is the Life Boat Station.

Further inshore the only surviving windmill on the Island can be found. The Grade I listed windmill was built c.1700 and is still with its original wooden machinery.

Bembridge is also the home of aircraft builders Britten-Norman who celebrated the 50th Aniversary of the Trilander in 2005
